Dear Parents,

Thank you for visiting our website, and welcome to Melva Davis Academy of Excellence for the 2022-2023 school year!

We are so excited to begin the 2022-2023 school year with whole-school assemblies and a reboot and build-up of our school culture! It is important to us to connect with our students and families. We want to establish and maintain positive relationships with our community, as family and community support makes our schools even stronger.  Academic learning and growth are our bottom line, yet we also understand that educating students means being attentive to the “whole child” and caring about their social and emotional well-being.

I feel extremely fortunate to be the principal of a school with such wonderful children, a motivated and dedicated staff, and parents who work with us to create an environment that facilitates student learning through a wide variety of innovative and collaborative methods and activities. Our faculty and staff are highly committed to providing the most rewarding education possible and making the process of learning an enjoyable experience. We are a place of learning, belonging, growth, and support for students, families, and the community. Your child's education is our top priority!

Our website is a valuable source of information. Every message that we send out to families can be found on our website, along with our newsletters and other important information.  Please feel free to reach out to our office staff and/or the administrative staff should you have any questions or concerns.  Our office phone number is 760.530.7650.  We look forward to working together with you to make your child’s educational experience a positive one.  Thank you for being a part of our community and school!  Let us know how we can help make your MDAE experience even better!

Sincerely,

Kathryn Youskievicz
