Parents/Guardians:
On Friday, December 11, one of our classes was Zoom Bombed. The unknown person (a youth) who entered the Zoom class made specific, derogatory and profane insults toward the teacher. The Adelanto Elementary School District IT staff along with school site administrators are investigating the situation.
For any student in the class effected by the comments emotionally or mentally, please notify the teacher or school administrators. The District provides counseling services to all students.
We strongly condemn these disruptions, which have no place in our schools, especially during a time of heightened stress.
We do not want this to happen at any of our schools and classes. We are reviewing current security measures and will make necessary adjustments. Zoom security practices include the use of a waiting room prior to class starting, locking the Zoom class once class starts and having students use their full name on their Zoom profile.
When an update is available, we will share with you in a timely manner.
Thank you parents/guardians for your continued partnership and support.
